Bumper Repair & Replacement in Dubai
Repaired where it can be, replaced where it cannot — with sensors and cameras put back working.
What this covers
A modern bumper carries parking sensors, radar and sometimes a camera, so a bumper job is rarely just plastic and paint. We repair the panel where the damage allows, refit and test every sensor, and recalibrate what needs recalibrating before the car goes back.
Booked in for this? Owners often ask about car inspection in Dubai, engine repair at our Al Quoz workshop and our electrical & electronics work at the same time — one visit covers all of it.
The work
Plastic repair
Cracks and splits repaired where the structure allows, which keeps the original paint.
Replacement
New bumper prepared, painted and fitted with the original hardware.
Paint matching
Existing finish measured and blended into adjacent panels.
Sensors and cameras
Parking sensors and camera brackets refitted, tested and recalibrated.

Questions
Can a cracked bumper be repaired?
Usually yes, if the mounting points are intact. Repair keeps the original paint, which always looks better than a repaint.
Will the parking sensors work afterwards?
Yes — they are refitted and tested before the car leaves. Where the car has front radar, it is recalibrated.
Will the new paint match?
We measure the existing finish rather than working from the paint code alone, then blend into the adjacent panels.
How much does bumper work cost in Dubai?
From AED 500 at our workshop in Al Quoz. The figure moves with the car and with what the check finds, so treat it as a starting point rather than a quote. It covers the bumper, its sensors and camera brackets repaired or replaced and repainted to match. You see the itemised estimate before any work begins.
How long does bumper work take?
Normally three to five working days. We book a slot rather than a queue, so the car is worked on when you bring it in. If the job turns out to need longer once it is apart, you hear the reason and the new date before we carry on.
Is the work covered by a warranty?
Yes — 6 months on parts and labour for work carried out in our own workshop in Al Quoz. Where a part carries its own manufacturer cover, that applies on top. The term goes into the estimate before you approve the job, not into the invoice afterwards.
Bumper Repair and Replacement in Dubai
A modern bumper is not a plastic panel. It carries parking sensors, frequently a radar unit for adaptive cruise control and collision systems, sometimes a camera, and the mountings for all of them. That changes what a bumper job involves: refitting the panel is the straightforward part, and returning every system on it to correct function is the work that actually matters. A bumper repaired without recalibrating what it carries is a repair that looks finished and is not.
Repair comes before replacement wherever the damage allows. Cracks and splits in the plastic can frequently be repaired if the mounting points are intact, and repair keeps the original paint — which always matches better than a repaint, because it is the original. Replacing a bumper that could have been repaired costs more, takes longer and produces a slightly worse result.
Paint matching is measured rather than looked up. A paint code tells you what colour the car left the factory; it does not tell you what the car looks like after years of sun in this climate, which fades and shifts a finish measurably. We read the existing panels with a spectrophotometer and blend into the adjacent panels, so the repaired area does not announce itself in daylight.
Sensors and cameras are refitted, tested and recalibrated where required. Parking sensors must be seated correctly in their housings or they read incorrectly rather than failing outright, which is worse. Where the car has forward radar behind the bumper, that unit needs recalibration after removal — and a radar out of alignment by a small angle affects adaptive cruise and emergency braking in ways the driver will not notice until it matters.
Insurance work is handled with the documentation insurers ask for: photographs, itemised estimates and a record of parts fitted. Where you are paying directly we will explain where genuine parts are worth the difference and where a quality aftermarket panel is a sensible saving, and we will not make that decision for you.
Call or message with photographs of the damage if you can — it lets us tell you quickly whether repair is likely and roughly what is involved before the car comes in.
A note on timing and parts. A repairable bumper can usually be turned around quickly, while a replacement panel for a less common model may take days or weeks to arrive. We check availability before the car comes in and tell you which situation you are in, so you can decide whether to book now or wait. A car sitting in a workshop waiting for a panel that was ordered late is a planning failure rather than a supply problem, and we would rather have that conversation before your car is with us than after.
